OFWs in the Philippines to Kuwait are no longer allowed to fly this morning after Kuwait suspends all flights to and from the Philippines, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India. beginning March 06, 2020 to one week as precautionary measure on COVID-19.

Many Filipinos who are about to travel today was dismay because of the sudden announcement. Many of them we’re hoping to get a flight going to Kuwait but fails. The Department of Immigration told the passenger and up coming passenger to reschedule their flights until further notice.

According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation – State of Kuwait, ” Pursuant to the decision issued by the health authorities in the state of Kuwait, all incoming flights to and from Kuwait International Airport are temporarily suspened for the following countries (Bangladesh, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt) starting from March 06 , 2020 until next week.”

– Arrival in the state of Kuwait from any nationality who have a valid residency or previous entry visa, as well as those from other airports who were present in the countries mentioned above during the past two weeks, are prohibited.
– Citizens of the state of Kuwait coming from these countries are allowed to enter, provided that the necessary quatantine procedures are applied to them.
