A group OFW in KSA Jeddah Ask For Financial And Food Assistance To The Philippine Government.

A group of Overseas Filipino Workers in KSA Jeddah were asking for help to be repatriated. According to them, they haven’t received any aid from their company to amidst the country’s lock down due to pandemic crisis.

One of the OFW said, they were a worker of Papa John’s Pizza  Restaurant Company and it’s been two months that they have not received any help from their employer. They did not receive their salary for three months even food allowance was not given. They also reported the scenario and asked for help from their recruitment agency, Mahara Human Resources but they kept telling them to hold and wait.

The group of OFWs is hoping to get help from their agency in the Philippines, Staffhouse International, and their counter agency in Saudi Arabia, Mahara Human Resources. They also call on help from all the Philippine Government Agencies for OFWs especially in POLO Jeddah, DFA, and OWWA.

However, there are some companies that would not survive the crisis brought by the pandemic crisis. They were advise to go home immediately if they already got their salary.

UPDATE:
The Philippine Government bodies in JEDDAH saw the video and did not turn a blind eye to the OFWs. They immediately sent them food supplies. They also received the 10,000 cash assistance from DOLE-AKAP.
