Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday that Russia had successfully the first country in the world to have an approval of vaccine against Covid-19. After almost two months of vaccine trial, they had finally the cure of the virus.
“This morning, for the first time in the world, a vaccine against the new coronavirus was registered,” said Putin during a televised video conference call in Russia. The development covers the way for the mass test of the Russian population, even as the final stage of clinical trials to test safety and efficacy continue.
Authorities assured that among the first batch of vaccine recipients will be medical workers, the elderly, teachers, and other risk groups. Previously, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte thanked President Vladimir Putin for promising assistance for the Philippines as he offered to supply the COVID-19 vaccine once available.
